Behala Kurnish Welfare Association distributed new blankets, mosquito nets and sarees to the financially down trodden people at interior part of Sundarban area on 13th December 2015.
Distribution of new clothes to destitute children on the eve of Puja
Kurnish does not and can not afford to go for frequent events. Latest of the events, Kurnish observed during the year 2015, has been distribution of new clothes to destitute children on 20th October, the Duraga Puja Sapatami day and taking senior citizens of an old age home in a launch on river gangues to see the immersion ceremony of Durga Maa on 23rd October, 2015. New garment distribution to the poor children on the eve of Puja
Kurnish organized new garment distribution to the poor children on the eve of Durga Puja at Hari Sava on Wednesday, the 2nd October, 2013. 114 children from three orphan homes, Arunima Hospice of Behala Chowrasta, ACCP of Lake Gardens and BSSK of Baruipur were brought and given the garments and sweets. Smile in their face with new garment during Puja days will cherish the objective of Kurnish.
Observance of Annual Day 2013
Kurnish observed its Annual Day 2013 with the following programs.
Sit and Draw competition by the children on the afternoon of 8th June, 2013.
Blood Donation Camp and distribution of Wheel Chairs to the poor and needy people of Sundarban on the evening of 9th June, 2013 followed by a short cultural program when boul folk song will enchant the audience.
Donating Wheel Chair to the handicapped children
Kurnish also arranged for Wheel Chairs through assistance of many, to give those to the handicapped children on 3rd June, 2012. Again our heartfelt gratitude to those who helped Kurnish with their monetary contribution.
Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp for Thalasemia patients was organized on 3rd June, 2012. to meet the scarcity of blood for the needy Thalasemic patients in the state. Donors were given certificate of appreciation and refreshment. Our gratitude to those who came forward voluntarily for blood donation.
Donating Trycycles to handicapped children
Kurnish made a new era donating Trycycles to handicapped children on 3rd June, 2012 in presence of hundreds of people. It was a small venture of Kurnish to show solidarity to those who are crippled and can not move by themselves. Kurnish extends heartiest thanks to those who did contribute for this noble venture.
Sit and Draw Competition
Kurnish made it an yearly event of Sit and Draw Competition for the children. It was on 2nd June, 2012 when the competition was held at Behala Harisava. Children of the locality participated in the Sit and Draw Competition. Guardians and distinguished personalities were present and awarded prizes and gifts to the participating children along with Art Kit and refreshment.
Durga Puja Porikroma 2011
Like every year, Kurnish organized Durga Puja Porikroma 2011 with Senior Citizens from Old Age Home of Santinivas and Sroddha, Behala with the donation and assistance of many. Of them, noted donation was made by Life Insurance Corporation of India. Members of Kurnish salute all who stood by the noble activities of Furnish.
